Upgrade to MemoryCounter, or to Wireless Transmission MemoryCounter System
A Walker Wireless MemoryCounter has all of the benefits of our stand-alone patron counters with a major added benefit. Our MemoryCounters contain an on-board memory chip that time-stamps and stores the half-hour, hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly data at the patron counter.
With a Walker Wireless MemoryCounter, you will walk to the counter once a week or once a month with an Infrared Data Transfer Fob. Using the fob you will download the time-stamped data from the patron counter onto the fob. You will then walk the Infrared Data Transfer Fob to your computer where you will download the patron data to your PC where it can be viewed and stored in the half hour, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly formats. The data is stored on your PC hard-drive in a comma separated variable (csv) file that can be used by Microsoft Excel and other software programs.
MemoryCounters can be installed in branch locations and the patron count data can be collected and easily emailed to the Main Library.
CompuCount Systems
A complete wireless patron counting system from Walker Wireless adds many features and benefits.
v It will no longer be necessary to walk to the patron counters at the doors to retrieve the data. Instead, the counters are wirelessly transmitting their patron counts to the CompuCount receiver/server attached to your library PC or PC network. The patron count data is automatically collected stored and is viewed at your PC in half hour, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly formats.
v Each CompuCount can receive patron count data from up to sixteen Walker Wireless counters in the library.so it is easy to track incoming patron counts as well as usage in Children's Areas, Computer Rooms, Audio Visual Labs, Coffee Shops, Restrooms, and other locations within the building.
v The CompuCount supports Directional Counters which can be used to track IN and OUT counts and determine occupancy of individual rooms.
v The CompuCount supports the Magnetic Door Counter which can be placed on Emergency Doors, Closet Doors, Cabinet Doors, etc to track when they are opened.
v The CompuCount supports overhead camera counting technology.
v The CompuCount supports the Management Information Survey Box which will allow you to count questions at the Information Desk.
v Because the counters are battery-operated and wirelessly transmit their information, the system can be easily installed without needing to worry about the time or expense of running power and data wires.
v Because of the lightweight portability of the counter, an extra unit can be purchased to be used at different locations within the library to capture patron counts for specific events.
v If there is Internet connectivity at the Branch locations, it would be possible to access the patron count information remotely via the Internet.
